The monument sits on a small hill surrounded by grass. Dedicated to Prince Henry the Navigator who started the Golden Age of Exploration. Worth stopping by.

This statue is important as it marks historically the man who most believe started the Age of Discovery. It is located in a beautiful setting.

Comparitively tranquil square close to the vibrant river front and people tend to sit on the grass and relax. Seats available.
