Situated in historic Porto, this cathedral offers a huge plaça (plaza) where one can view the colourful tiled roofs of old Porto. It is also where pilgrims staging their "Camino de Santiago" from Porto must acquire a "credentials" stamp. The plaza is often crowded with...More

This was an ok place to have a look inside, marred by large groups of tourists being talked at loudly by their guides. Outside was a lovely plaza with beautiful views over the river and towards other landmarks. Recommended more for the views rather than...More

We visited the cathedral as part of a walking tour but stayed after to explore its surrounding areas as well as it interior. We saw many churches during our stay but overall this was one of our favourites.

A stunning vast structure but comparatively solid and plain on the inside. The views from here make this a great place.

Beautiful medieval cathedral. Changed through the centuries with baroque touches inside. Was there for Sunday Mass with the locals. Lovely!

This Cathedral is amazing, plenty of work of arts, not boring the least. Great to look at and totally awesome at night when viewed from the waterfront in Vila Nova de Gaia. It's very much worth a visit.

Situated on top of another hill the plaza at the front gives good views across the rivers and back across the city. It’s free to enter the interior, which was undergoing minor renovations but not enough to spoil the visit. It’s €3 to visit the...More

Such a sober cathedral, romanic style just like Braga Cathedral. Built in a very high place in Porto, over there you can jave a nice view

We just walked up to the cathedral. Line wasn’t bad at all. You only pay if you want to see More than the main sanctuary.
