You have to go to appreciate the size of the market. What a great day out to see all the locals shop and very cheap loved the atmosphere. If ever in Porto must get the train there as only half hour by train

Firstly, I'm a bloke so markets leave me a little cold but the wife loves them. I like to cook so the fish and veg sections are always interesting for me and some good examples of local produce can be found here. Once we hit...More

Every Monday from 6am-6pm. The biggest market I have seen and the best place in Espinho to visit. Several kilometers long. Start from the Norther side where the locals have their fish, vegetables, bread, souvenirs, household stuff, etc. The Southern end is full of cheap...More

Huge market! So much fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables. As you get deeper and deeper the sales people get more aggressive. They are all yelling and if you stop to look they will heckle you. Prices are cheap though for what you get. Cook...More

Well, if you are looking for some traditional Portuguese goods, you may found them here. But prices are average, rarely cheaper and in most cases more expensive than in commercial stores that one surely finds in this city. Hope to see it better in the...More

We decided to visit this market and were shocked at how large it was and how you can buy anything there! The market went on and on as we walked with tons of shops selling housewares, bread, cookies, shoes, clothes etc. Although we did not...More

Espinho Market in Northern Portugal is a very traditional local Market where you can get pies, pastries and local produce. Cork items in abundance but I found them pricey.

A horrible shame about the caged animals! Otherwise plenty of things to see and buy. Good fresh produce. Great prices for Portugal cork handbags!

Lovely fruit and cake stands. A real shame this market still selles live jailed animals, really unfortunate... also a shame this old lady tried to trick us... wish this was a traditional but not old minded place. If you visit try some Caladinhos!
