The Jesuits College offers a wonderful location to enjoy a peaceful and very economical cup of coffee and pastel de nata. The surroundings are very special and tranquil. Well worth a visit.

The Jesuits College of Funchal stands across the towns square. It has a wonderful interior with amazing sculptors and murals. For €1.00 you can climb the tower and enjoy the views of Funchal from the elevated vantage point. Well worth visiting

Beautifully decorated Church in the middle of Funchal - very atmospheric and worth a look - limited opening hours so best to check first.

Dropped into this peaceful church giving you some respite from the bustle and noise of the streets around. Decorated for a wedding so special to see. We are told that the 1 Euro trip up the tower is well worth it

We visited the College whilst on holiday in Funchal Whilst housed in an elderly and historic building it would have been easy to walk past as at first sight it appears to be a public building only What a mistake it would have been to...More

Just passing by and decided to pop in. Interesting old building and would recommend the tower visit at only 1 Euro which gives some nice views over the town.

If you start the tour near the harbour the first part of the tour is actually quite nice. It tours through the old town and town centre. After that the tour becomes dull and seems to be more a hotel pickup bus as it drives...More

I'm sorry, I've no idea, but it might be worth contacting the students' association of Madeira University, as they provide English and Portuguese language guides and are knowledgable, good luck!
