Perfect company and respectful of nature. We did 3 boat trips and we have never been disappointed. 5 species of dolphins observed and 4 sperm whales seen a few meters from us. All the staff are lovely and really educate about protecting the ocean and its people. We couldn't swim with the dolphins as there were babies (proof of their professionalism) but that will be for next time! We recommend +++ and will return there on a next trip to Madeira. Chloé and Gaylord 😉😉😉

2nd trip with Ventura - very friendly and well organised - also very knowledgeable about marine life and enthusiastic about sharing this knowledge - we had a generous 2 hour trip and were blessed with ideal conditions - and the dolphins were out to play and we got to see some whales. I think a morning trip is best

Very nice boat trip, spotted 4 different sea wildlife species, which was very cool. Our guide, Ana, did a great job explaining the different types of dolphins and whales. Definitely would recommend! No fake promises, respect for the wildlife and kind people.

A trip worth doing.Setting out on a twin engine dingy, you set off into the Atlantic. The guides were very good pointing out the wildlife and telling you about it.We saw many dolphins, turtles and seals but no whales on this occasion. The trip lasts about 3 hours and is very interesting.

We booked this as a swimming with dolphins trip and of course thought there was at least a good chance to go in the water with the animals, but even though we got to see 3 groups of dolphins and the sea was very calm the possibility to swim was never even discussed by the crew. I guess it's a lot easier for the crew to just do the boat trip. Or maybe the conditions are rarely soo perfect that they let you in the water? Anyhow, we were very disappointed and it would have been nice to know in advance that there apparently is more of a 20% chance they let you swim than an 80 % chance, as we thought. This should be discussed ahead or at least mentioned on the website. We then probably would have spend the day somewhere else. The dolphin watching was ok though, pretty much the same as anywhere else. The skipper was good, he drove the boat not too fast and as calmly as possible, so it's not too bad even for a sensitive stomach.

Dear sailor, Thank you for your review. The swimming with dolphins is an extra activity and it is not guaranteed. That's why the reservations are always made for a whale watching trip - the extra for swimming with the dolphins is never charged before the trip. It is important to know that - fortunately - we are seeing animals in their natural habitat and our main goal is to respect them. There are some conditions that don't allow us to perform the activity in order to minimize the impact on the animals. If these conditions are not met, we just don't do the activity. Furthermore, it is impossible to deduct the swimming percentage if you only took one trip. We hope that next time the conditions for swimming with the dolphins are met. Regards, Ventura's Team
