We enjoyed our time walking in the park and checked out the various buildings. It is a magical playground, not just for kids but for adults too. I can spend whole day wondering in the park and day dreaming. My parents are in their 80s...More
I was at first disappointed when it turned out that the upper floors of the palace were closed for renovations. But visiting the gardens more than made up for it. Magical surprises at every turn! We visited in September, when there were fewer tourists, and...More
This place is an adventurer’s dream. It’s this massive space with tons of little trails and paths that feel like an adult playground. The history itself is fascinating as well. My favorite part was going down the spiral steps in the well, traveling through the...More
I am impressed with this park so much.
It is very beautiful park with wells, cave and gorgeous palace inside park.
It is must see place in Sintra. No online ticket supply you can find.
But not long lines for ticket on site.
WOW. I felt like I was walking around a dark fairy tale or a set from Guillermo Del Toro movie. This place was beyond beautiful. I am glad I went very early in the morning and while it was a bit rainy, I felt like...More
The gardens here are absolutely stunning and many people try and cram in too many attractions in one day. So to get full enjoyment out of Sintra, leave yourself half a day just for these gardens. When you get to the well, continue to walk...More

I absolutely loved Quinta da Regaleira!!! I found it to be a bit confusing to navigate their map, but I think some of the beauty comes from walking around exploring and finding something new in every corner. It was a tad crowded when I visited...More

We didn't take the guided tour and saw everything...NOT! The next day I was reviewing the map and discovered we missed plenty. Here's the deal. The house and gardens are really spread out. The Initiation Wells are remote from the house and a hike up the hill. The grotto and caves have multiple access points. The lovely guest entrance is on the far end of the garden. So study your map in its entirety or go wit the guide...but don't miss a single site!
