Neighbourhood: Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!

I had already been to an escape game once, and I got to say... I thought these games were only somewhat entertaining...
However, after going to this one yesterday, and looking back, I guess my opinion Changed. I had loads of fun. It had super clever twists and hints. It felt like I was in a genuine romance history in Lisbon. I was really excited to finish in time, before we were all blown away by the time bomb!
Great afternoon activity with friends!

If you are looking for a fun activity with your friends, family or co-workers this is it.
If you want to try a Escape game THIS IS DEFINITELY THE ONE.
The game is located in an old house that gives the glamour and the scenario for the history. The game is very well designed, it’s hard, it’s fun, makes you think.
We were a group of co-workers and we tried both rooms: O Espião and A Amante. Both are amazing, I cannot choose which I like best, because both are so different in terms of challenges.
What I can say that different these games from all the others is the fact that you will play in a real environment, meaning the house layout is similar to a real house its not a built scenario for the game.
Just love it!!!!

Went with a group of 10 so we split and played 1 of the games each.

I'm new to escape rooms and had a great time.

The puzzles were fun, the building made a great setting, the host was lovely and we would definitely recommend the game.

There were some really lovely touches in this game, and a lot of very genius puzzles, but there were also a couple of puzzles that had extra bits that didn't add to the puzzles or the story and in fact, caused us much confusion. The theme and decor was great and the gamemaster was friendly and helpful when we got stuck. Well worth a play.

My 2 friends and I did the Mistress room, which we succeeded in escaping. However, as someone who has done 64 escape rooms worldwide, I cannot recommend it.

My issues:

1) The first puzzle is WAY too hard. You want to give people an easy win out of the gates.

2) Overall, a couple of the puzzles just seem a little too difficult to get without hints. 1 of the puzzles I found very misleading.

3) There's a "task puzzle" which just involves following instructions. There's no "aha" moment to it, it's just a time waster which I find it annoying.

4) None of the puzzles made me think "oh that was quite clever."

5) The atmosphere in the room is not that impressive. It's in a very old and somewhat dilapidated building. I think they are going for a historical World War 2 era feel, but it doesn't come off very well.

6) We were put off by our gamemaster, who for lack of a better word, was just a bit weird. After the game she asked us to sit down and just chat with her. It was odd. Since we hadn't paid yet, we couldn't leave, and felt compelled to sit and have this awkward chat.

The Spy Room was lots of fun. Smart enigmas, unexpected turns, and opening the door before time was called! Can't wait to try the other room.

This was my second time in escape game to experience the second game designed by the owners. The Mistress does not disappoints. Although the enviroment is still a retro experience from the sixties, some parts of the game have some tecnologically hidden surprises that you do not expect when you are there. I found it somewhat easier than the spy, but i was also with a bigger group this time. I recommend!
