This is a lovely square up on the hill in the middle of a charming neighborhood. The square has some big impressive trees and a cafe. Sit under the trees and sip a cafe. Lovely architecture all around, some good shopping and eating.

This is a rather ordinary and somehow neglected square in central Lisbon. Passing through it in the evening felt uncomfortable, as it was almost pitch dark and dodgy-looking.

The square around the Jardim do Principe Real has nice looking buildings. There are restaurants nearby. The Botanical garden is there (it was closed when we visited in March).

The park/plaza is a great area to spend a leisurely afternoon. There are several good restaurants nearby (and in the plaza itself), plenty of cute shopping, and on Saturdays there is a market of local crafts.

Just in front of the botanical garden (which is closed for restoration) is this wonderful square, full of charm and good vibrations. It is a very lovely area to explore with a lot of interesting shops, nice garden and lovely bars.
