Our guide for a day trip to Sintra from Lisbon stopped here on our way back. Great views over the Atlantic from Europe's most westerly point. Worth a stop.

Such a lovely spot! The rocks are covered with flowers, the light house adds charm to it, the wind is blowing, this is a perfect sunset spot!

Some coastal roads in Portugal are very narrow and in August the volume of traffic is immense. So I was slightly apprehensive about the volume of oncoming traffic at sunset. I needn’t have worried because there were sufficient passing places and the road was not...More

While looking towards the Atlantic Ocean at this point you are standing at the west end of Europe. Not to far away from Lisbon it is worth to come here, either from visiting Sintra or Cascais.

If you are in Sintra you must take a trip out to Cabo da Roca. It can be windy and a bit cold so make sure you take a jumper or something to cover up. The views are stunning. Not much to do but walk...More

Nice place as a landmark. Good photo opportunity. However, nothing much to do there. You would be surrounded by loads of tourists trying to get a picture with the pillar.

Great views but packed with tourists. Entertaining to see what people would do to get good instagram picture ! Climbing cliffs and hanging off rocks...idiots :)

I don't know about a day pass. What we did is take the train from Lisbon main train station to Sintra, then the bus from Sintra to Cabo da Roca, then the same bus (it passes every hour) from Cabo da Roca to Kaskais and... More
