We made a special trip to Cabo da Roca because we are interested by geography and wanted to visit the westernmost point on Continental Europe. There is a lighthouse and a monument, and little else to see other than breathtaking views of the rocky coastline....More

...we finally arrived at the tip of the map. This is the western-most tip of Europe. It is crowned with a cross and a lighthouse. The views are far, wide, and deep. I can imagine sailors of old standing here, looking out, and dreaming of...More

Very nice lookout point on the western most point of Europe - only a little bit further from Sinatra. Watch out for the wind and don’t climb to the edge of the rocks as it’s super dangerous

This is the westernmost point of Europe. The feeling of wilderness is quite evident in this somehow touristy spot. Nothing really interesting here. Beware of the strong wind that can literally blow people away.

Worth a quick visit on the way to or from some other more worthy landmarks nearby, this is a stop off to feel the breeze (constant here apparently) and awe at the bravery of the sailors and explorers heading out in to the huge ocean...More

Good add on to visiting Sintra like the Moorish Castle and the Pena Palace. High bluff overlooks the ocean as you take in the vast ocean and visualize the explorers sailing away to the distant lands.

A bit like Lands End in the UK - people go there because it's there and happens just to be the furthest point from, the most westerly point, the highest - you get the picture. If it wasn't for the crowds of people it would...More

Lisbon is a wonderful historical and comfortable city. But after being in it for a couple of days I think the best option for a tourist, even if you are on a business trip to here, as I was. It’s good to combine the business...More
