Endearing village with a bit of history, at the end of a train route from central Lisbon. Easy to navigate, kept clean, a few lovely parks to visit and lots of restaurants. There are several beaches as well. Used to be a fishing village, turned...More

A bustling town with a lovely beach. Lots of souvenir shops and bars. Busy in the evening when people go out for stroll or visit one of the many restaurants. Only 40 minutes by train from lisbon city centre and well worth a day visit.

The story behind the different areas and style of tiles around this town is fascinating. We chatted to a local artist on the market and his knowledge had us gripped

Great walk from Cascais station along the promenade to Estoril. The Atlantic was quite rough but the sun was shining and we got the train back to Lisbon. Had luncheon Capricciosa restaurant beside the beach, very good.

Beautiful town, great food. Not sure I would want 2 weeks here but for a long weekend it’s as good as it gets.

We were staying in Lisbon and took the train from there to Cascais, only a short journe of approx 35 mins. Loved it here, clean, great restaurants, beautiful scenery - would love to return x

Loved walking in town with many nice shops, restaurants, vendors. There's a beach area close by and the architecture is very interesting.

The Portuguese people are so kind and the city is so clean. The diversity of beaches and beach activities, restaurants and shops kept us very busy! We felt safe and curious during all of our on foot exploration trips :)
