We visited only because we had time on our way up to the University..or maybe I have seen too many cathedrals. The altar is very intricate and beautiful but somewhat typical. Cost is 2.50 euros each.

Grand historic building in the heart of old town. Glorious structure especially in the afternoon sun. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

One of the oldest cathedrals in Portugal, and certainly one of the most intriguing ones. The high altar alone is reason enough to pay the entry ticket, but the beautiful cloister is also well worth a look. The cathedral is full of intriguinf mysteries and...More

Beautiful Old Cathedral is a treasure and well worth the small fee (2.50 Euro) to visit. The architecture, the history, the church, the cloister ... all very interesting. Hard to believe it has been here since the 12th century.

The old cathedral and its stonework rivald the early medieval churches on the pilgrimage road to Santiago de Compostela. Portuguese, Flemish, and French artist worked on it and the result is stunning.

One of the oldest churches of Portugal and an important historical building. Beautiful. Located in a rambling path.

We visited the old cathedral this morning and it is highly decorated with beautiful moorish tikes and Christian paintings. The cloister has a relaxing atmosphere, well worth a look for only €2.50 per person.

Short visit required but worth the time as nice cloister and not overly crowded with tourists. Some nice mudejar tiles.

We were struck by how different the exterior and interior of this cathedral were. Both are interesting and although there is a small fee (€2.50) to enter, it includes a small, but very helpful, little guide. The 13th century cloisters are attractive and well worth...More
