The informational videos at the beginning of the trip highlight the different phases of the structure. Although you don't get to see much here, the price is not bad to view the city of Coimbra over some rooftops.

Almedina Tower is a perfect yet small place to stay and enjoy looking at. It would deserve a bit more information in sight and perhaps a bench to sit at. But is a secure symbol of Coimbra traditions and history.

This attraction is part of the old city walls. You will pass under it en route to visit the old cathedral and university in Coimbra. It is at the lower part of the city where the climb up starts.

After the little historical gate are small shops, quite with atmospheric. We were there last year, some place were under restoration. Just a few steps more, you will be on the main shopping street of Coimbra, further up will be the old Cathedral, the university....More

It is hard to find free parking sites close to Coimbra's city centre. However the parking prices are acceptable and to park near Ponte de Santa Clara seems to be the best solution to visit Coimbra's centre.
