It was nice taking a stroll through the gardens and seeing the beautiful plant life. There are signs letting you know where many of the trees are from. Saw some people relaxing and feeding some pigeons while we walked around.

Must see! So many different spices... Climb all the way up to Alto da memoria and enjoy the view. Free entrance.

Walk to the top, the lookout has a beautiful view of angra! Very well maintained, perfect to walk or have a picnic.

These were probably the most impressive gardens we found in the Azores. Varied, well-kept and extensive, the only negative point is that they involve a lot of steps and climbing. The plus point is the excellent views over the city and countryside from the top....More

It is a pleasure to walk through this park, especially if you take the stairs at the far end of it and if climb all the way up ! You'll have an exquisite view on the city !!
