I visited this vineyard/museum. The lady was very engaging in telling me the history of the vineyard. I got to see the museum and some old wine presses and tasted some delicious wine. Nice place to visit.

Learn about challenges of grape growing in rocky volcanic soil, mild daytime high tempaeratures, and salt-laden windy conditions. Don’t miss the test plots contains ~ 29 varietals, most unknown to this reviewer!

This was part of a tour, but really not that interesting; unless you're a real freak for wine and how it was made... it's just okay. The gardens are nice. The wine tasting at the end -- did not inspire me to make a purchase.

It's much worth a visit. You can learn how the family grown vineyards in a very rough location. There is a free wine tasting and you can also buy some bottles to take away with you.

This is a very small museum and vineyard. It's interesting to see how they grow some vines on the ground on top of the volcanic rocks. Bottles of wine are for sale but are a bit pricey.

A cool place that showcases five generations of family wine making. A great, friendly step into history, with a free tasting at the end. Even if you don’t care for fortified wine, you’ll probably find something that you like here. A very authentic experience. Check...More

We dropped by the wine museum on a whim and were so glad we did! It was lovely to see the traditional wine-making equipment and the huge barrels. Our host was kind and friendly, even gifting me with a camellia bloom as we sampled the...More

Very sparse with a few items and a small taste of the wares. The proprietor lady, very nice, of course, couldn't get rid of our group quickly enough when we rushed to get in just under the closing time.

This is a short guided tour but very interesting. The guide was bilingual and the tour only took about 20-30 minutes. They allow you to taste some of their wines which are nice and you can purchase them to bring home. The history of the...More
