Stopped by here while on shore from our cruise. It's pretty enough but not a major attraction. Worth a quick peek.

Attended Sunday evening mass for like 30 minutes. I'm not religious and I hardly understand the lingo, but the service was full of peace and tranquillity. Great feeling of community too among the worshippers. Like finding back what we have lost several decades ago.

A very interesting black and white building on the outside with Igreja San Cristo on the same square. The church is not as ornate as Sao Sebastian but still worth a quick stop.

This is a wonderful, beautiful old historical church from the 1500's. Located off to the side of the main streets, it is a great example of Portuguese architecture. This is a must see when you visit this charming city.

The church is beautiful, peaceful with tipical Portuguese colonial architecture. There are also some decoration with basaltic stone. It's really Impressive

This is a beautiful church inside. My grandparents were married here, so I have a personal history here. I visited with my family and my children were so happy to see a place where their ancestors worshipped. A truly wonderful experience!

Impressive from the outside but absolutely amazing from the inside. Outside of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, this is the prettiest church I've ever seen on the inside. All the gold detail.
