Fantastic morning and first time canyoning experience with Francisco and Jay, both very friendly and extremely professional. Felt safe and confident tackling the various jumps and abseils with their guidance and full protective gear. We were in a small group of 6 which was a lot better than the other firms we saw with 10+ to a group, less waiting around for jumps etc.
This was surely the best way to see the Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, getting up close and personal with the waterfalls and surrounding nature. Photographs and videos were taken throughout and sent to us a couple of hours after we had finished, all in the included price. Highly recommended activity for anybody travelling in Sao Miguel.

We have done half a day of canyoning with Francisco and Bea with our 3 kids (8, 10 and 11 yrs). It was absolutely amazing: first of all they were very well equipped with all sizes of wetsuits and boots, even for the youngest kids. They were very good in explaining to the kids what to do and to expect. And the waterfalls with the abseiling, jumps and zipline were just great, with the option to do them multiple times. We were the only customers in our group and I heard the other companies have much larger groups up to 15 people. With such a large group the waiting will be endless at every waterfall… all in all, the canyoning with Azores Epic Adventures was the best activity we’ve done on the Azores!

We had a great experience with our guides Francisco and Jay! They gave great explanations and made verythibg feel very safe and secure. The night before we did our canyoning adventure, it rained a bit, so there was quite a lot of water in the river, which made it even more fun! We did two rope-rappels, three different jumps and several smaller slides. And of course, a hike down the river in a beautiful area! All in all a great trip!

A great experience, Jay and Francisco were attentive and attentive to accompany the children, great guides through the adventure and good advisors on things to do on the island. Being in a small group allows you to make the most of it! Thank you again for this Epic moment!!

Bea and Francisco are beautiful people!!! One can see that they love what they are doing at the first instance. They took good care of us and you never feel the pressure to do what you find challenging. We were with a small group and they could have let us finish earlier, but instead they took the time for us to do the things we enjoy again and again. Thank you!!! I would definitely recommend everyone to join them.

We had such a great time at the Canyoning tour with Bea & Francisco! Everything was explained very well and we felt safe at all times. There were always options for different levels of difficulty. It's also great that all pictures and videos of the tour were made available afterwards. The Canyoning tour is definitely a highlight of our holiday on the Azores and we highly recommend Azores Epic Adventures! Many thanks for this fantastic experience!

The afternoon spent with Bea and Jay was a top experience during our two weeks holiday at Azores. The whole family (2 adults, 3 kids 16,14, 12) enjoyed it so much that nearly all of the slides and jumps we took twice. For majority of us it was a first time experience with canyoning. No need to be afraid, Bea knows perfectly her job, she has a perfect equipment and you will be in safe hands.

We had the time of our life! As a family with three kids (aged 14, 12 and 7) we had booked the private tour. The guides are amazing and took perfect care of all of us. It is an experience not to be missed and we can only highly recommend this!

This was an incredible experience that went above and beyond all of our expectations. It was one of the major highlights of our entire trip! If you’re questioning whether or not you should take the plunge, the answer is: “Go for it!” Bea and Francisco were amazing— they were quick to respond and very prepared for the trip. Throughout the tour, they were patient, informative, and inviting. They made us feel right at home, and we loved chatting with them. We were offered challenges throughout the journey, but we always felt safe.

Thanks for the question, so the Epic Canyoning Half day trip starts in "Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões", you can check the exact google maps link in our website. About the minimum age, it's not an exact age but depends on the kid's height and weight . All the best :)
