Our family had a great time sea kayaking out to the Islet of Vila Franca do Campo. Our guides Iris and Daniela were very friendly, helpful and encouraging. We felt very safe with them. The trip was wonderful - such a beautiful, dramatic and interesting place. Swimming in the centre of the islet was a real unique experience too. Our children (age 10 and 12) loved it as well. Highly recommended.

Incredible experience kayaking and snorkeling around the Ilheu de Vila Franca this Saturday.
We went with Diego and Rodrigo, great professionals. They give a lot of security and make the activity more fun.

We had a great half day bike tour around Ponta Delgada. As We are first timers to the Azores it was good to have a guided one. Learned a lot and felt We will come back. The island is beautiful.

We booked the full day Sete Cidades excursion that included kayaking, hiking and a visit to the thermal pools. The entire day was fantastic - the views and experiences you couldn’t find without a local guide, and the ease of enjoying the islands beauty without any planning. Our guide Rodrigo was fantastic - he was so knowledgeable and great with the kids. He even surprised us with a birthday cake for one of the members of our group which was so thoughtful. I highly recommend this experience for families, we loved it!

We spent a week on Sao Miguel with activities almost every day organised my Fun Adventures and we couldn’t recommend them enough. Every day we had really friendly, knowledgeable guides who were able to give us what felt like an authentic Azorian experience. Every day was a small group and on a couple of occasions it was just myself, my partner and the guide on our own little private tour! On days when we had the same guide again it was like being welcomed by a friend in the morning. Very highly recommended.

I did an amazing hike yesterday to Lagoa do Fogo, a secluded lake in the crater of one of the volcanos on Sao Miguel with Fun Activities Azores with the privilege of having a small group of just 2 persons with 2 guides, which comes from travelling out of the main tourist season. I learned a lot, had a lot of laughs and took in the many variations of green and blue of this place. We were super lucky with the weather and had a clear blue sky, which apparently is very rare - thanks to good knowledge of the organiser :-) Ricardo and Diego were both extremely competent and caring guides, who love their pearl of an island. Booking and organising the tour was easy due to quick responses and flexibility from the team. Thanks a lot, I can highly recommend you and would love to come back and try other activities.

After a nightmare trip from NYC to Ponta Delgado (due in part to weather and part to Jet Blue and SATA Azores Airlines mismanagement and incompetency), we finally made it to San Miguel 3 1/2 days late. Paulo was incredibly flexible, empathetic and understanding with the situation and we were greeted by him personally at the airport upon arrival after 10pm. He moved our reservations around to the extent he could so that we could see/do as much as possible with our remaining time. Paulo was kind and patient and made sure that we were able to get a late dinner before dropping us off at a beautiful and spacious hotel in Nordeste. On the ride there he provided us with helpful information about our activities and also about the island. All of our guides were fluent in English, easy going, and on time. We enjoyed their company, especially Daniela's. All three of our accommodations across the island were super clean, provided breakfast and were located within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. We biked (bikes were in excellent condition), hiked and went canyoning with Fun Activities. Our guide for canyoning, Joao, was extremely experienced, confident and very helpful every step of the way. The picnic lunches were in environmentally reusable containers and they also provided reusable silverware. The lunches were healthy and delicious. We flew to Pico for a few days and upon our return Paulo arranged a driver for us to take us to the pharmacy for our Covid tests. We took the test and he drove us downtown for lunch and then picked us up again to retrieve our test results and then dropped us off at the airport. Fun Activities provides top notch customer service and I highly recommend that you use them when you visit San Miguel.

I signed up to do their Waterfall Hike/Tea Plantation outing. Their team was great at communicating with the necessary logistical info but I really appreciate the fact that because there was VERY heavy rain forecasted for the day of my outing, they contacted me beforehand and gave me the option of not doing the tour (for a full refund), if I was not comfortable with the potential hiking in the rain. Very considerate of them. Rodrigo was our tour guide. He was great; very easy going and friendly and was accommodating with the schedule to try to give us the best experience (whether that be trying to avoid us hiking in the rain as much as possible or even bringing us back to the tea plantation later in the tour to avoid the massive crowds). He even threw in a couple of extra stops at some scenic locations that were not on the planned agenda. The lunch they provide was good; healthy, and I like the fact that they are eco-friendly with their reusable containers/cutlery. The waterfalls were all pretty amazing (even though all the rain made them not as "picture perfect") The hike itself had A LOT of stairs/inclines up and down so be wary of that. Visiting the tea plantation and seeing how the tea is made and learning about the history was also great. By the time we made it there, the weather was finally clear and sunny so we were also able to go out and enjoy walking around the plantation fields. Thanks Rodrigo and FAAA for a great time!

We did a kayaking tour to the islet of Vila Franca with Fun Activities.
The went around the islet and took a look at the caves, which was very impressive.
At the Islet you had 1 hour to snorkel or swim around and enjoy your rest before kayaking back.
The team is very nice and fast with replies if you have questions beforehand.
Unfortunately we had bad luck on the way back from the islet. weather conditions changed and it was a bit heavy to paddle back with the waves and the strong wind. our paddle broke and the tour guide was out of reach already. luckily we made it to land safely, but exhausted.
some of the group took the boat back to Vila Franca and one of the guides went with them. Personally I think it would have been better if the 2nd guide would have stayed with us on the water under these conditions, also cause another Kayak behind us went overboard.
I would have felt safer having someone behind me as well instead seeing my guide out of sight. But overall they did a good job, and we're human and mistakes happen.

My husband and I are in our 70's and while walking i no problem, we are not as active as some of these tours suggest require. We love nature, scenery wildlife ---- suggestions? This is all spur of the moment as we would love to go in the spring if it is not already too late to make reservations.
