Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It only takes a minute to see the interior of this historic church inside the fort. Simple and peaceful. Not ornate in any way like other Portuguese churches. Open when the fort is open.

A modest chapel with some historical interest. Tries to be true to the Catholic church of the time. Near the statue celebrating Henry the Navigator.

Wednesday 10th October and we visited Fortaleza de Sagres and this delightful old Church is situated within the walls of the Fort.
It is known as Ingeja de Nossa Senhora da Graca, Church of Our Lady of Grace and dates back to 1570. It was damaged in the earthquake of 1755 but was subsequently restored.
Inside the Church is very plain and simple with a small carved wooden altar and a religious statue. It's simplicity is part of it's charm.
It was nice to sit in one of the wooden pews, collect ones thoughts and reflect in the tranquillity of this old holy place.
There is no admission fee to enter the Church, included in the entrance fee to the Fort. It does not take long to walk around but is definitely worth a look. Visitors are requested to be respectful when visiting this sacred building, wearing modest clothing and removing baseball caps.

This small white Chapel built in 1570 is beautiful, it sits inside the walls of Sagres Fortress and overlooks the impressive western coastline of the Algarve.

En la tienda del museo, compre una pulsera con el corazón de sagres pero no logro encontrar la historia del mismo, alguien sabe algo?
