We came looking for thermal springs to go swimming with the kids but it wasn't until we got here that we realised the thermal baths from Roman times have been built over by the hotels, and the only spring you can find is one that...More

As many other ‘must sees’ in the Algarve: a lot of fuss about nothing. We came here, discovered a place with a couple of sterile hotels (creepy mental hospital style) and spa’s with well maintained gardens but unaccessible to non-guests (or patients if you like)....More

This is a beautiful village on the way to Monchique in the Algarve. It has a tree covered square which is perfect for lunch. The hotel offers fabulous BBQ. There is a hotel and lovely art shops to visit.

Hidden away in the mountains, this thermal area is worth a visit. Even if you are not planning a treatment, it's an excellent place to relax. The water from this area is very famous for its high Ph of 9.5! Really tasty!

Entered down a long one way street. This little town is well worth a visit. Walk up to collect some of the very healthy water (free). Visit the local restaurant or just relax with the views

If your in the area take a stroll round this small park, you can drink the natural water that flows through it, have a picnic if you prefer, then visit the small village

You are in Algarve at 30 minutes from the beach, but on a quiet, calm green and beautiful place. The hotel from the Spa it was nice, average breakfast, good and simpatic service. The spa was really great price/ quality.
