    With parking nearby, this is a great place to come for a quick view of the sunset before heading out for dinner (at least in the springtime). The trails behind the lighthouse offer interesting views of the water below.

    Another great photo stop

    While in this area take time out to visit the Light house and get some great pictures this is a very neat sea side area and well worth the stop

    This review is for the surrounding area of the lighthouse as there is a lot to explore and walk around with marked paths along a scenic coastline. A lot of rock formations to see nearby including the famous Ponta da Piedade which you can walk...More

    The views are amazing! Plenty of photo ops. We walked along the trail(s) at Ponta de Piedade to see the lighthouse. Parking was ample.

    We saw this lighthouse from the water on a tour. We also got to see it while walking the boardwalk at Ponta da Piedade. Beautiful area!

    no snorkeling arranged at this site. but it is possible if you are a experienced snorkeler. the water is clear, but be awere of the current.

    it's a bit of a trek. I would suggest you get the small train that runs up to the light house from the promenade by the bus garage. The train runs every 10 mins . 1.50 euro each.
