Beautiful gothic church, with large stained glass windows and different side chapels. Signage (in Englsh!) describes the history of the cathedral and you can see the remains of the structures that the present church was built on. The treasury is filled with different monstrances and reliquaries and I also was fascinated by the historical timeline that lined the wall that led from the main church to the treasury.

I went to visit this cathedral and this building is just amazing with incredible stained glasses. You can discovered 2 kinds of architecture In one building (Roman & gothic) which is not that common at all! You can also see some amazing pieces of art in this beautiful and peaceful place. Go visit it!

Will not return and would not recommend. Dog mess everywhere - never been to a place like it. Can’t look up at buildings or admire views due to the constant need to avoid dog mess all over the pavements. No other town or city in Belgium that I’ve stayed in was like this. Why are the people of Tournai so willing to spoil what could be a wonderful place. There seemed to be no shame and people happy in broad daylight just to let their dogs mess in the middle of pavements! Really bad near the Cathedral.

Pour destination, the valon city is not quite touristic but the centre is marvelous. Situated near the france border, the cathedral is visible from E52 highway, the reason i visited the city.
