Very nice place and great view with the statue and the older buildings around the square. The only disadvantage is the fact that everything is being reconstructed so there is scaffolding all around.

Antwerp's Town Hall is situated in the middle of the historic part of Antwerp. Also very close to the cathedral. The architecture is beautiful. In the middle of the square where Town Hall is situated, you can find Brabo, a statue telling the origin story...More

The city hall or Stadhuis of Antwerp, Belgium, stands on the western side of Antwerp's Grote Markt. It is surrounded by many classic buildings and is considered the most important Renaissance building in the Low Countries.

The town hall is right in the center of town and has a fountain with statues in the front courtyard. Well worth a picture.

A lovely area with lots of restaurants, and a statue purportedly depicting the origins of the name of the city Antwerp.

True I came on a rainy day, but still I didn’t find it very impressive, for a town with so much history and a town that had so much wealth (also considering that we are in a Roman Catholic town) I had expected something more......More

The market place and town hall are impressive, especialy in summer with all the flags decorating the town hall. You can only take a look from outside.

A very pretty front, but otherwise, just another building. This town hall compares equally with those in a number of other towns and cities in Belgium.

The town hall and Grote Markt is not as impressive as those in Ghent or Brugges. Whilst some of the historic buildings remain, it is obvious that less care has been taken to preserve the historic centre of the city. Antwerp is far more commercialised.

A very nice building which is well worth a look at. The statue in front is also very interesting even on a cold February day.

Yes, because the inside is being totally dismantled and then there's a complete renovation . And there are historical elements that have to be protected and handled with care, so this will slow things down ...
