The Kop van Zuid is a superbly gentrified former docklands area very much in the center of Rotterdam- can be reached by foot easily via the iconic Erasmus bridge. The centerpiece is no doubt the monumental Holland America Lijn building, now hotel New York. It is surrounded by stunning highrise architecture such as De Rotterdam and the Montevideo buildings. A very nice and arty city park (featuring eg. the fabulous Lost Luggage Depot artwork) sits at the western waterfront. A must see in Rotterdam! …

Nice to see, all those big buildings, all the boats and water-taxi's and you can eat and drink on the terrace.

I love to walk around here and experience the business. With good weather sitting down somewhere is also fantastic. Watching a cruise ship that has been docked.

Rotterdam is a very new city, this part is beautifull in many ways. Great architecture, great view, close to very nice bars and restaurants.

The area was redeveloped from docklands and dilapidated structures. Currently there were new buildings with cafes, shops and museums around. Nice to stroll around and view the opposite side of harbor at leisure.
