As we're in the bulb area we passed this church and decided to visit it. We were glad that we stopped and were able to enjoy the beauty of this church. For a catholic church in the Netherlands, this church is quite a new one ( 1902-1903 ) so I would not say that the painting on the wall or ceiling are seccos. But the church's wall are all covered with colour, as well painting as ceramic. With all the stainned glass windows I can say it is a beautiful church. It is worth a visit.

Beautiful old church built 1902 I believe. Walking in I was amazed at the brick work and arches along the sides of the church leading up to the altar with many painted scenes as well as ceramic tiles. Detailed hand painting on the columns and walls and up onto the ceiling. Wonderful and beautiful work that must have cost a fortune!!! The stained glass window near the altar are full and intricately done! I only spent 45 minutes there and that included a bit of solitude sitting in a pew. Wonderful and fully worth a visit.

If you’re interested in history and old churches, this pays a visit when you’re around the area. I liked the glass work on the windows inside.

Its a very old cathedral built in 19th century by De Kerk in Lisse. Its very beautiful & artistic, both inside & outside. Its slightly off the regular schedule but worth seeing to see dutch architecture which was so advanced at that point in time as well.

The 1902 built St. Agatha Church is also called "Cathedral of the Bulb region". Definitely worth a visit to enjoy the beauty of this church. It's open every day between 10 and 5pm
