You can go to Westergasfabriek and have some drinks/food/music. There are several small parks inside Westerpark for kids. Running, walking, biking, rollerblading! Or just lay down and read your book. Lovely place!
For running? This is one of the best! You can take 3K or 5K loop in this park. But it is difficult to looking for a shop if you are thirsty or need a cup of coffee. Nothing there, just running or jogging

We walked around this park in the Spring sunshine which made it 100 percent better. It's worth a visit, we were killing time waiting for our time slot at the Anne Frank house but is was time well spent.
