I stayed in an apartment a few blocks away so this was definitely on my to-do list. It isn't the largest market but everything is top quality and you can tell that the food vendors were proud of what they were selling. The first thing...More

This was one of the last, best neighborhood markets in the city (the sat am organic market). Has become unbearable--can't walk, a steady stream of ubers disgorging gawking tourists. (If you have to take an uber in amsterdam--a car averse city--please take it to schipol.)...More

We arrived in Amsterdam on a Saturday lunchtime, staying on a house in Noordermarkt. The flea market was right in our doorstep and had a nice selection of new and old bits and bobs. A couple of streets away was the food market. All the...More

Noordermarkt is a little square where you can enjoy the everyday life in Amsterdam Without the tourists crowd - have your lunch here and get ready for the rest of the day!

Good combination of food (meats, cheeses, jams, etc) and vintage items (clothes and knick-knacks). We spent about an hour browsing the whole market. Of the few vintage items we asked about, pricing was fair. Worth a visit if it’s not too out of the way.

A local market with great atmosphere. We bought there great french fries which were made of organic potatoes. The chips were the best ones I have ever had. Definitely recommend them.

On Saturday we walked down from tram 10. The market stretched from the bottom of Westerstraat upto the church. It was quite busy but there was still space to browse. A mix of clothes, food, jewellery, flowers, bread, etc. We had to go and eat...More

Great place to buy fresh fruit, huge assortment of cheese, arts & crafts. Fun just to walk around soaking in the festive atmosphere, nibbling cheese samples.

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

No it is open on Mondays as well, all year long. You can decorate and furnished your house. for very little money, and bartering is a must.
