Nothing out of this world. But you will have to visit. It was lovely in Christmas time with all the lights and the enormous Christmas tree. Just be careful you are not run over by the tram or a bicycle 😂

Loved to during the day, loads going on, things to watch and explore. Lots of lovely little cafes on the side watching in if you sit outside - good for people watching

Quant square with lots of shops and restaurants near by. Centrally located. It is very busy with tourists as most places in Amsterdam. Would I recommend going? Probably not. There are other things to see and do.

In front of the royal palace - a huge open cobbled space with a few performance artists and the national war monument. Surrounded by various shops and other attractions but surprisingly little going on here actually.

Beautiful buildings all round, easy to get to, and near to a lot of attractions. Dutch architecture is gorgeous and rarely nicer than the royal palace and church here.

Avoid unless you like being a tourist ashamed of other tourists. Went in winter and was shocked by the amount of travellers, which is good. Just don't be that person in Amsterdam, the loud, obnoxious lads on tour person. No one likes you. The square...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

The palace is right on the square. We didn't go in so not sure which door but there were staff around who could assist you.

No, I am not aware of any. If you type in Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam, you can see if any come up.

Today, there was a small (around 20 places) christmas market with ice skating next to the „i amsterdam“ sign. Hope that helps
