I planned staying an hour and a half, maybe two. I ended up spending over 4 hours, and I still didn’t see everything. Rijksmuseum has so much more to offer than paintings hanging on the wall. There are a lot of historical artifacts as well.

It is one of the best museums I’ve ever visited. Many very famous paintings including Rembrandt’s The Night Watch and Vermeer’s The Milkmaid. The Asian Pavilion is quite small but there are several beautiful Buddhist statues. Definitely worth a visit.

Rather expensive, costs 20 euros to get in, but be prepared to spend most of the days walking around the different galleries. Closes rather early, so remember to check the opening times!
