Neighbourhood: Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

A small equestrian statue
Oct 2018 • Couples
This is a very small equestrian statue. We came by it while walking around the city streets. Not sure of the history of this statue, but it really is quite diminutive. It shows an extremely tired rider on his equally tired horse which seems to be about to drop! Not sure what it represents but it is not easy to notice as its location is a little awkward, away from the direct path of pedestrians and others. And from a distance it is very hard to see what it is exactly.

suffers from location & execution
Mar 2018 • Friends
based on the 1st steps on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal from the centraal station is this sculpture..although it's set-back from the road for more study..but the execution is awful, and doesn't stand out from sculpture students

Worth seeing
Mar 2018 • Solo
After many months of renovations of the adjacent buildings the statue finally again became accessible to the general public. And a good thing too, because the statue personifies perfectly the average tired air commuter, tourist, harried visitor, businessman or consultant. The statue's proximity to the hotel strip and the central station is no coincidence. Inspiring piece of art. Recommended.

Fantastic sculpure
Jan 2018 • Friends
De Vermoeid Reiziger is a nice little statue we passed as we were heading to Amsterdam Centraal Train Station and it's an interesting but not a must go statue to see.
The sculpure shows a tired rider astride a tired horse,it looks good but unless your passing it I don't think it's that big a deal.
That said the statue is quite easy to locate on Nieuwezijds Voodburgwal.
Worth a quick photo if you pass it.

The Tired Traveler
Nov 2017 • Couples
Heading down towards Centraal Station we were lucky enough to come across this small statue. I say lucky because it is very small and therefore very easy to miss.
Entitled 'The Tired Traveler', and could be best described as a small figurine of a man on a horse.
It was placed on the occasion of the reopening of 'Crowne Plaza' Amsterdam, by Mayor J. Cohen on the 24th September 2009.
We just happened to pass by it, but it is not something that we would recommend going out of your way to see.

Too Small to See
Jun 2017 • Couples
The statue is too small to attract an attention. You don't even see it when you pass this statue though the location is on the sidewalk . This statue was erected on the occasion of reopening of Crowne Plaza Amsterdam City Centre. The condition is already changed than it's used to be, back in 2009.
