The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is a high altitude complex giving superb views of the Matterhorn and much of the surrounding area. Much like the Jungfraujoch, there is a viewing platform which is accessed by an elevator (the views are amazing), a couple of shops, restaurant,...More

Everything about the Glacier Paradise was great! the ease of getting there via cable car, the Ice palace, the snow, the various ski teams practicing there, not too crowded. Go there if you are in Zermatt

Decided to go see for myself what everyone is raving about. Went up by cable car and gondola. You had to change once after leaving Zermatt. It is very easy to get around and once at the top it was worthwhile. The views are simply...More

The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is a rare opportunity to walk inside a Glacier. Glaciers feel like living breathing things. There is interesting ice sculptures, an ice slide and the aforementioned opportunity to walk in a Glacier. Don't miss this.

A great trip up in the cable car. Superb to travel out and over glaciers, with the views all around stunning. It is very high at the top, so care is needed as the air us very thin. It’s all a bit expensive on top...More

We spent two nights in Zermatt in late August and had always planned to do the trip up the Matterhorn Klein on our complete day. We took a local bus to the gondola station. The gondola trip alone was amazing, so quiet, magnificent views- we...More

The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise takes you up nearly 13,000 ft. with spectacular views. It is possible to stop at several viewing areas on the way up, so you get a chance to acclimate to the heights. Closer view of the Matterhorn and many other alpine...More

Just read on TripAdvisor it takes 47 minutes. It takes three gondola rides from Zermatt. We stayed awhile at the second level to adjust to the altitude. Bathrooms on top are not free. Have fun. It is beautiful up there.

I was there August 12 and the earliest lift up from Zermatt was 6:30am according to the tourist info bureau. They would be the best to contact in case this has changed recently.

Yes, but you have to go high, so you may face limits due to the thin air.
