Dropped in to this cathedral while walking around the Old Town of Lugano. A great piece of history that has recently been restored. Worth a visit.

Worth a stop but it is not one of the great cathedrals of Europe! A good feature is that the funicular stops close by to make the up trip a little easier.

Located just below the main train station and just above the central shopping area of downtown Lugano. Well worth the visit.

Climb up to see this cathedral, even if churches are not your thing, because the view from just outside the church is fantastic.

We rode the furnicular with ourFREE transportation pass given to us at our hotel. It covers the buses too and gives discounts on many items. We got off the furnicular and walked around. Lovely church, very quiet with beautiful alter and side alters.

Right in the middle of town, this church is worth a minute as the paintings on the walls and ceiling are excellent. Well preserved, interesting scenes.

Every time I pass a church the feeling is that of serenity and this was no exception. Walking distance from the station, this church ought to be visited while on your way to the city center.
