The church dedicated to San Carlo Borromeo located in the center of Lugano is a treasure of Baroque architecture and religious art. I was especially impressed by the melted lead reliefs created by contemporary artist Nag Arnoldi in 1998 on the theme of Via Crucis....More

This is one of several smaller churches in L ugano. It is pretty basic other than the center statue of the Virgin Mary that seems to be gold and silver. Worth a peek.

Stop by for a word of thanks for a safe journey and light a candle. Beautiful works of arts adorn the walls. Take photos.

The came across this Church as on a Sunday most shops are closed and its was lovely to walk through the streets. The interior is wonderful and it does take your breath away, the history is interesting and well worth a time reading the information
