This is a very interactive experience that highlights the changes in religion and society during this period. The printing press greets you as you walk in and it comes to mind that the spread of the protestant doctrine was only possible through the written word.

Happened upon this museum with not a lot of expectations and felt afterwards that we really enjoyed it and what a nice surprise. History of the Reformation up to present day. Used the audio guide. Return to our protestant roots and Old Town Geneva. After...More

Perhaps because my expectations were a little higher than most, I was slightly disappointed in this museum. Don't get me wrong; one still needs to go as there is an amazing amount of history packed in such a small place (a delightful building with the...More

An interesting museum to those wishing to learn more about this aspect of Christian history. Many of the exhibits are labelled in French (partly helped by English headsets and the lay out of the museum wasn't very clear. Had time permitted going on an English...More

We arrived very enthusiastic to learn more about Calvin and the birth of the Reformation; we left one hour later very little the wiser. The museum is a series of small rooms crammed with documents, artefacts and paintings. Each of these items has a description...More

Not the most exciting museum as it is mainly made up of documents, letters, portraits but the free audio guide and plaques provide copious details on the history and founding fathers of Protestantism. During the 500th anniversary they have a replica of the Gutenberg printing...More
