High on a hill over the Danube, the Basel Cathedral offers a lovely view of Basel. Be sure to check out the sundial clock. In December, it is the location of one of Basel's Christmas Markets.

In a good location, right on the river and easy to find. Outside looked beautiful, but very disappointed as it was closed. We visited on Tuesday 11th Decenber. Small Xmas market outside in munsterplatz

Yes, its 2 SFR pp. But sometimes they only let a minimum of 4 people go up. Why? Haven't a clue.

Yes, it is free to tour, I didn't climb the tower, but the church and grounds are free.
