I've seen so many and was this one going to be any different? Of course it was. We parked nearly and it was then easy to take the little escalator to the top - ta da - there we were. With high ceilings and austentatious...More

Make sure you walk around the building there are some nice views. There is also a set of escalators taking in you down to one of the city gates. I was not that impressed with the inside

Great sightseeing, as massive basilica but also lovely school covenant next door. Good spot to sightsee while in Siena.

Not the most obvious place to visit in Siena but it offers a sanctuary of peace and coolness. The square is popular with students.

A couple of excellent frescoes by the Lorenzetti brothers. Amazed how well preserved they have been! Interesting layout of Church with a number of altars, not one main altar as is typical of most churches.

The posative side of visiting this Basilica is that there are not a lot of tourists and there are a lot of pieces of Art. One of the negatives is that they will not allow you to take photos, even without flash.

After parking in the public near the basilica we took the escalator all the way up to the top. The basilica is impressive - very tall ceilings, austere but very artistic with its stained windows and chapel paintings. Definitely worth a visit - not too...More

With the Duomo there are so many people you rend not to notice the scale of the building, not so many visitors (certainly when we visited) on this site and the immediate impression was of the cast open space within the Basilica. They ask you...More

The paintings and sculptures in this cathedral are without doubt on a per with those in the Vatican. It is a moving experience to take them all in. A must visit attraction

This serene, impressive church, with its sprawling, sun-drenched piazza, offers a quiet respite from the cramped and crowded streets around Il Campo. From inside, I caught a glimpse of students reading in the adjacent cloister. Via Dei Rossi leads right to the piazza on the...More

No idea. I imagine there will be several masses. Why don't you search for a Web site, which might list the schedule.
