The beauty, the symmetry, the space.....is there a more beautiful piazza in Italy? Go, walk around, sit at a cafe on the edge of the Piazza and people watch to your hearts content

This place took my breath away with its beauty and historical significance. A very popular attraction, with many tour groups visiting. My advice would be to get there early, before the crowds, and enjoy a good walk around the area.

This is a most beautiful place. Please wear shoes that can withstand slippery steep pavements. Many of the entrance roads to the Puazza are steep and slippery. Once there there is often entertainment. But, beware an ice cream can set you back 12 euros! So,...More

I am currently studying in Siena, and the Piazza del Campo is my favorite place to be. During the day, I love to sit in the center and enjoy some gelato or get a spritz at a bar along the outside. My favorite time to...More

In the centre of old town - vibrant & always lots of people. Have a drink at any of the cafes/bars facing the square to soak up the atmosphere but would suggest eating elsewhere. A definite must see & experience when in Siena.

I have never been to a place so beautiful architecturally. It turns to a magical place in the night times. Visit it with your wife or gf. True romance!!

Obviously, such a tourist magnet gets swamped in the day and is probably not the best place to eat (unless the views are more important than your stomach or your pocket), but it has to be one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Try...More

Absolutely gobsmacking architecture. This is the place where the Palio horse race takes place twice a year. There are restaurants almost half the way around the edge so no problems finding something to eat or drink.

Sorry about the delay in responding - we've been travelling. The hotel promoted the walking tour we did but it is available through the shop in the corner of the piazza. If you are standing looking at the tower it is in the... More

Hi, we had a rented vehicle while in Tuscany as it was easier to get around so I honestly don't know. I'm sorry!
