Nice place to sit and relax and people watch. Plenty of coffee shops around the perimeter. This is the only place where we saw people sitting in the plaza like it was a park or beach in Italy.

Everyone who visits Siena walks through this Piazza. It is scenic! I felt like I was on a movie set. It is a great place to sit and have a drink in the many restaurants that encircle the piazza or sit in the middle and...More

We visited just after the July Palio and it was just as I had expected. A fantastic space to just sit and stare or walk about gelato in hand. Do you not miss an opportunity to walk the red bricks of this fantastic place and...More

We walked around the square which has quite a steep slope to it. It's surrounded by restaurants. Lots of people were sitting and standing around. The architecture is interesting.

Been in so many piazzas. We were in awe when we emerged from the street into this square. Just the fact that it is not flat and the bell tower seems so much taller. I will compare all other piazzas to del Campo.

Sure, something you probably should see if you are in Siena. However it didn’t float my boat. There was a lot of tourists there, obviously. But we didn’t really see what was so special about it (comparing to other places to see: Sidney opera house,...More

Worth a brief visit to see the municipal areas of the city, although I wouldn't recommend eating in this area as it is incredibly expensive compared to the rest of the city. From here you can visit the municipal tower but I also thought this...More

Sorry about the delay in responding - we've been travelling. The hotel promoted the walking tour we did but it is available through the shop in the corner of the piazza. If you are standing looking at the tower it is in the... More

Hi, we had a rented vehicle while in Tuscany as it was easier to get around so I honestly don't know. I'm sorry!
