The bridge is pretty much in the dead centre of Pisa. The river here curves away both sides of the bridge so makes a good spot for photographing the houses and palaces that line the river.

Nice bridge to take pictures from and looks stunning at night. Also handy for crossing the river so your feet don't get wet.

We walked from Piazza dei Miracoli through the shops to the Ponte de Mezzo. It was all lite up and beautiful at night. The bridge crosses the Arno River and allows both pedestrians and cars to cross. There is a festival held here in the...More

The Conte Ugolino bridge everyone calls Mezzo, probably because it is the central (middle) bridge over the river Arno. It was built in the mid 20th century with a single arch that is 72 meters wide. It is an elegant structure and very convenient path...More

Great sight, pedestrian friendly. You can't sit on the edge of the bridge, but on the river shore there is a thick concrete wall on which you can sit down and enjoy the view. It is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset, as the river...More

It is especially nice to visit the bridge in the sun set time. The historical buildings around the bridge and the sun set time create almost a postcard seen. The bridge connect the pedestrian area and central facilities. Thus, it is a fun to make...More

After a delicious dinner we went for a leisurely stroll in Pisa. We had visited the bridge earlier in the day, but seeing it on a beautiful evening with all its lights was one of our most romantic moments!

Most of you will travel to Pisa to see the Tower, Duomo and Baptristy and why not. But there is more to see in Pisa. Venture towards the river Arno (the same as runs through Florence) and you will see how Pisa once was known...More

this is not Florence and the view is not great, the whole town seems a bit dowdy unfortuantely, the high spots being some good food, a few good shops but bars are mainly overpriced

It is difficult to write something special. No ornaments, no statues, and very few people. It also means that you can enjoy the quiet Arno river and surroundings.
