The Puccini festival is a permanent festival - the performance is held in a church and lasts about 75 minutes. I had never seen live Opera before and I loved it! A fabulous way to spend an hour in Puccini's home town in the early...More

A Tenor, Soprano and Pianist belted out some of Puccini's greatest hits. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. They even introduced a sense of humour with a finale of O Sol Omeo (SP?).

Each performance spontaneous standing ovations to rapturous applause. Lovely cheerful happy encores followed. If you get to Lucca and...More

We went to the Saturday night Oprah performance and it was wonderful, the tenor and mezzo soprano were brilliant and the Pianoforte superb. The acoustics in the church are wonderful and this is really the "music of the gods"
