I have visited the NDS leather store in Florence in the Central Market (Mercato Centrale) many times typically 3 times a year. The quality of the leather jackets in this store is far superior to the surrounding stores. It can be quite confusing to pick 1 leather store amongst the many stores in the market but this store is the best. The jackets are all made in Italy from quality leather and they stand the test of time and look great many years after purchase. But most important is that the sales professionals at the NDS Leather Store are kind, genuine and not overbearing or pushy. They will treat you with respect and courtesy and allow you to try on many jackets so that you can make an important decision without pressure. Fadi, Hassan, and Fabio are three of the finest salesmen that I have encountered in my travels to Italy. My advice is to go directly to NDS to find an incredible leather jacket. At first the leather market can be impressive so I walked around a bit. This is a real store, on the sidewalk, not a stall, so that's important. Vera and Maurizio are very nice and helpful. They will answer questions and give you opinions. They have great quality and good prices, and even solved a small issue of size for me the next day. Awesome. Walked into the market looking for a leather jacket on a student budget and it was CRAZY! NDS leather factory was the first store we walked into and we were treated like family. They fitted me with a really nice leather jacket that suited my needs perfectly. I was hesitant to buy it as it was the first place I looked, but Vera told me about how she really likes to sell at a good price to students and gave me a great price for an even greater leather jacket. My friend who I was traveling with went to this exact shop 2 years ago and told me I HAD to find Vera and get a jacket from her and no one else. After we finished our shopping, Vera talked and took pictures with us and gave us some great travel advice for the rest of our trip. She is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met and made me feel like family! Would 110% recommend visiting her shop!…

During my study abroad trip my friends and I ventured into the famous leather market that we've heard so much about. Having no idea what we were doing, we traveled deeper into the area surrounded by leather both colorful and seemingly expensive (especially for a person first time being in country). While walking, I heard a warming voice say "You look like you need a coat!" That's when my group and I met the wonderful people that ran the store. Knowing I personally had no money to buy an expensive jacket such as the one being shown to me, I felt bad because it was such a good deal. After talking more to Vearda (sorry if I butcher the spelling) we closed the deal, I came back the next day and bought the most gorgeous jacket in the world at a very good price. Now back in the states I can't travel there to get a new jacket but I will definitely try and have them shipped. Thank you so much for everything you guys!…
