This tour is definitely worth it! Daniel was a fantastic guide, keeping the ride fun along with giving us tons of knowledge of the area. Both wineries were outstanding and the hosts taught us more than we could have imagined about wine-making. The amazing four-course lunch and stops in San Gimingano & Piazzale Michelangelo put this tour over the top!

We were in 2 minds whether to book this or one of the many cheaper alternatives. This was worth every penny. The minivan was very comfortable and limited the size of the group. The guide was professional, informative and friendly. The 2 vineyards visited were beautiful. The first included a guided tour round the winemaking process and then the wider farm where olive oil is made and cows are reared specifically for Steak Florentine. The wine tasting follows accompanied by their olive oil on bread with pecorino cheese, beautiful. A visit to San Gimignano follows and then onto the second vineyard for a wonderful late lunch accompanied by 10 wines each introduced as part of the wine tasting experience. Meeting at 9:15, returning at 4pm, a perfect day finished off with a visit to Michaelangelo vantage point for breathtaking views over the city.

Our group of 7 went on a wine tour while in Florence, the tour showcased the region. We had a wonderful day and our guide could not have been more fun. If we ever make it back I would take another tour with this company as well recommending to my friends.

The tour started well. The guide was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. The first visit to a winery was wonderful. However, then the tour became quite disorganized. The bus didn't pick us up on time from the winery and no one had any information. Then we went to San Gimignano. Again, it was a nice and pleasant experience and we would recommend this tour to others. However, the tour guide left us behind!! The tour was late and the guide was giving confusing and inconsistent directions about meeting/departure time. Finally, he told us to come to a meeting place at 2:30 pm. We came there at 2:20 pm and waited for 30 minutes. At that time we checked the parking lot and found that the van was gone. He must have told the other people on the tour a different time and left earlier. He was quite casual with the head count of people, too. There was another group that joined us at some point and the guide didn't seem to be aware of how many people he had in the group. We are experienced travelers so we laughed it off and took a public buses back to Florence. Overall, the part of the tour in which we participated was actually very nice and we would normally recommend it to others. However, leaving people behind was irresponsible, it could have been very stressful for many people, and it made us miss part of a tour on a short vacation in Italy.
UPDATE: the tour company emailed us, apologized, and offered to reimburse our deposits. They said the guide went back to look for us when he realized he lost us.

Thank you once again for allowing Fun in Tuscany the opportunity to be part of your trip to Italy. We very much appreciate the chance to share the beauty of Tuscany and our passion for our work. We are disheartened that you experienced a less than perfect tour with our company. As you can see from our hundreds of positively glowing reviews, we are very serious about pleasing our clients and affording them a happy and memorable day in Tuscany. I would like to explain what transpired after you separated from the group. As instructed, the balance of the group, 16 individuals, met at the main gate of San Gimignano at the pre-arranged time, a half hour later. Unfortunately the entire group waited for you to arrive there for more than 20 minutes after this time. It was unfair to the others to wait any longer, so I arranged for them to leave, while I stayed behind to look for you. I waited at the gate for quite some time, and then continued to search for you within the town of San Gimignano, but with my best efforts, could not find you. I returned to the gate, and you were still not there. I continued to look, to no avail. Prior to walking into town, I recall you asked what should someone do in case they get lost, and I responded that the entire group should meet at the gate at the end of the tour, if you get lost, meet at the gate. However, you were not there. It was truly impossible to find you. I take the responsibility of being a guide very seriously but feel that my clients must be responsible and timely as well, and follow instructions for the overall benefit of the group. I apologize for any inconvenience, and hope that you understand that I waited and searched for you hoping to find you. I do not believe that your review of Fun in Tuscany is a fair assessment of our services, and am hopeful that TripAdvisor will not post it. We strive to make all of our tours wonderful experiences and have many return clients and referrals. Thank you.

So much to see and do and experience in Italy on our first trio to this beautiful country and this Chianti Wine Tour was one of the highlights. Tuscany is an absolutely gorgeous part of Italy and our tour guide Antonio made sure we had a fantastic experience. The visits to the two vineyards amd wineries in the Chianti region was something we wanted to do for a long time and was really better than we expected. The Tuscan lunch at the second winery was probably the best meal we had on our holiday. We loved the guided tour of San Gimignano with Antonio telling us very interesting stories of the place and we it's highly recommended it.

The pick up n drop of was nicely arranged and was hassle free.

All in all it was an absolutely brilliant day thanks to Fun in Tuscany.

After weeks spent researching the perfect wine tour in Chianti, I wish my future self could have came back to the past and tell me to go with Fun In Tuscany... it would have saved a world of time and stressing.

I'm from California, and to be completely honest, we're spoiled with some of the world's best wineries around us all over the state. To say the least, this added an entire amount of undue pressure in trying to find a tour that could come close to meeting our expectations... our tour with Adel and Antonio however far exceeded them on all counts.

The tour started out with a quick pit stop at the most picturesque vista in Florence at the Piazzale Michelangelo. After a few quick snaps, we took off on a 30-minute drive through Tuscany to the San Gimignano area of the Chianti region.

The first stop was at a full-production organic farm & winery where they make everything from olive oil, to saffron, to the special breed of cows that Florentine Steaks are made from. We toured their wine-making process and then sat down in a cozy dining room by a fire to taste their wine and olive oil with fresh cheese, salami and bread.

The second stop is a walk through the preserved Medievil town of San Gimignano. The town itself is like walking through history untouched. Also in the town is a world champion Gelato maker with flavors you simply won't find any where else and the quality to back it.

After the walk through, we then went to another winery with a wide array of Super Tuscans, Chianti, and Chianti Classico (about ten wines tasted in total) to try along with a full-course meal made in house for lunch. Your taught the proper way to taste wine and breakdown the ingredients that lead to the delicious flavors and pairings and also get to try out their Truffle Oil other delicious add-ons. I don't want to spoil the entire surprise for you so I'll leave out a few of the surprises we were met with along the way.

More than anything, the intangibles of this trip are what sets this tour apart from all the others. Antonio was the most knowledgeable guide I've ever come across having lived and worked in the heart of the Chianti region and Adel's warm and cool personality added so much to the fun we were having. These two gentlemen were the value-added and made the tour a memorable experience.

I hope my review helps narrow down your choices to say the least. Fun In Tuscany will forever be our go-to-choice for all future activities when we return.

My husband and I joined this tour for a relaxing day in Chianti! It was wonderful. We could walk to the meeting point from our hotel in Florence, had a wonderful tour guide and very informed guides at each site. Lots of good wine and food and a great trip to a medieval city in the middle of the day.

We went on this wine tour during our stay in Florence. There were 5 other people on the tour with us plus the tour guide. We enjoyed the various places we visited throughout the day. We visited two vineyards and the medieval town San Gimignano. At the first vineyard, we were given a tour of the farm and wine cellars. We had a small wine tasting (about 3 wines) with some excellent cheese and olives. The second vineyard included lunch and a tasting of about 10 different wines and various different olive oils as well as a short wine tasting course. The food was excellent and the wines were tasty. The wine was much cheaper at the first vineyard, but the second vineyard allows you to mail wine directly to your home from the winery (door-to-door, all fees included). The tour through the town of San Gimignano was very beautiful; both inside the town as well as the view outside the town. The only downside was that we didn't visit the Michelangelo square at the end of the tour. We did this on our own later that day just before sunset, which we highly recommend. The view of Florence is breathtaking.

This was really fun, we had a great group, only 6 of us including the driver/guide. We were driven out of Florence in a very comfortable van (AC & leather seats, Mercedes van). Beautiful scenery along the way, we stopped for photos (a bit cool, as it was December) went for wine & olive oil tasting in pretty Tuscan village then on to winery. Owner here was really lovely we had a plate of meats and cheeses while tasting a selection of their very nice wines. Then sped back to Florence. The guide was really funny and spoke great English, I think he made the day and I would definitely go on another tour with them next time.
