Be aware that Le Baccanti Cultural Food and Wine Tours has a very strict and inflexible cancellation and refund policy. My family had scheduled a wine tour in April but had to cancel due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Even though our flight had been cancelled (all flights from the US to Italy were cancelled), the Prime Minister of Italy announced a nationwide lockdown and all commercial venues were shut down by the Italian government until May, I was only able to receive a 50% refund for the wine tour. My concern is that even though the wine tour never took place ( the event couldn't be held due to a nationwide lockdown because of the pandemic), I was only able to receive a partial refund.

My wife worked with Collette Beaumont,VIP Advisor from Bacco Escapes, to arrange a truly once in a lifetime tour of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Venice and Rome. What was special about the trip was taking our 10 year old grandson with us for nine wonderful, hectic ,fascinating days and nights. Collette worked magic in arranging a trip to keep a 10 year old involved. From the first day to the last it was fantastic. From a personal tour of the central market in Florence with our own chef to having our grandson "assisting" the chef in making pizza and gelato at his cooking school, everything was first class. I cannot say enough kind words about our drivers or our guides. If a driver was supposed to be there they were and the guides at every stop were friendly, knowledgeable and kept our grandson entertained. They went above and beyond to keep his interest. You can tell we enjoyed our time in Italy with our grandson and Collette and her team made it possible.

Whether you are looking for your own private guide for the museums of Florence, a walking tour of the gourmet markets with tastes of Tuscany, a private cooking class with a chef or going outside the city to visit exclusive wineries with a wine expert and maybe overnight in one of the charming hillside towns that dot the countryside, you have the guarantee that you will have a memorable time! Viviana is your first contact and you have the opportunity to discuss what is important to you. History, museums, food and wine or whatever you could dream up or you've dreamed of. You can make it as simple or immersive as you want and be assured that everything will be seamlessly coordinated! Chiara follows up with further questions and putting your adventure together. 'Sightseeing' this way gives you opportunities to stop to take that perfect picture, take a break from the drive to stretch your legs or pop into a small store that called you in from it's window display! It's fabulous! You don't have to follow a flag with a horde of other tourists in your group, strain to hear the guide with earbuds or ask to skip the rest of the museum out of boredom to hit a quaint enoteca to have a glass of wine with an assortment of cheeses. If you want a tour curated to your tastes and the flexibility to stray from the original plan, this is truly the opportunity to offer you that! We can't wait until our next adventure with Le Baccanti...

I recently did a trip to Italy visiting the Amalfi Coast, Florence, Montepulciano, Montalcini, and Cinque Terre. Le Baccanti Tours made my visit even better than I had imagined. They have the magic touch in planning everything from exclusive private garden visits in the heart of Florence to touring in VIP style! I was one of six group members along on the tour. The private drive along the Amalfi coast that the Le Baccanti team organized for us was the highlight of our visit. Driver was adorable, kind and yes...English was perfect. The views and hidden treasures that he shared with us were breathtaking and unforgettable. Grazie mille Le Baccanti!!!!

We were a group of 12 and were very excited about this particular tour as we love Prosecco. We had been very pleased with the entire booking process. The problem came as we were waiting for our tour guide and he was no where to be found. I’m calling the office and they’re saying he’s there and we can’t find him. We wasted over an hour in this process. Turns out, he had been standing on the opposite side of where we were. He did not speak English, although our confirmation clearly stated a friendly English speaking guide. The confirmation did not specify where in Tronchetto we would meet. Obviously by the time we realized there should’ve been specifics, it was too late. The tour was great, but the truth is we were all so frustrated at the start that it took us a while to calm down and enjoy it. I would’ve expected a call or follow up email with an apology or maybe even a discount, but that never happened. If you book them, ask for specific instructions in writing of the meeting spot and confirm that in fact your tour guide speaks English. We were never able to communicate with our guide, he knew we were upset and couldn’t even make I better because he spoke not a word of English.
