This is one of a number of the quieter streets which lead off the main tourist routes and offer a haven of calm, as well as views of lovely gardens behind closed gates, discreet art galleries and smaller restaurants

Taormina is quite unique because of numerous little side streets leading from Corso Umberto, but this one is definately in the top 5 because of nice artworks displayed.

A nice little alleyway with drawings and paintings on the ground and some restaurants that keep it lively. A corner of Taormina that is worth a look.

The art work on the stairs beckoned me to climb and see what was at the end. Tucked away in a little gallery I found a small oil of Mt..Etna and met Franco. Very pleasant visit and worth the time..
