Imposing city hall, containing treasures of art, paintings, sculptures, frescoes, antique furniture. The Council Hall has wonderful ceiling decorations, Marble and granite eagles - giving the palazzo its name - are found in every room and staircase.

I've seen fountains in many cities around the world. I was taken by the simplicity of both fountain and its setting. Very impressive and do a selfie there.

When visiting Palermo you must come in the neighbourhood of this fine piece of art. Well maintained and definitely worth some pictures. Enjoy the beautiful statues and unwind.

This city hall is quite well incorporated in the magnificant surroundings, but unfortunately we didn't go inside since some kind of protest was in progres in front of the entrance.

We only approached the guards milling around outside to ask where there's a rubbish bin (it's just inside, behind the left door); and he suggested we go inside for a look around. It's free. It's the administrative centre of Palermo and is a working building,...More

Interesting and artistic fountain, worth detouring to stop and admire and think about it's nickname (remorse).
