Coached barely able to pass each other on a treacherous road to the top. Glorious view of the city and port. Many Sri Lankan people near the summit.

There are at least two ways to the top. I used normal road to get there and old road (which is way shorter) to go down. Summit of the mountain is ugly and full of arials or antennas. Almost the whole way is pavement. It...More

Well worth the visit and the best way to do it is to climb the track right up the top. Takes about 1.5 hours and it’s not too difficult. The views of Palermo as you climb up are fantastic and once at the top there...More

We took the 812 bus up. Easy trip. The views of Palermo on the way were amazing. We came in Feb so not too busy . There were a couple of little cafes there which were nice.

Amazing views from the top. The Grotto of Santa Rosalia, the Patron Saint of Palermo, was worth visiting. The ornate golden robe and the cave itself where Her remains were found, is something one should see.

Great ride across switchbacks for cyclists from Palermo City centre and La Cala (the marina) right up to the Santuario di Rosalia - a pilgrimage church on the mountain built into the rockface at the h8ghest point of the road (abt 606m amsl). Great panoramas...More

Great to hike or take the 812 bus up to the Sanctuary of Rosalio and get nice views of Palermo on the first day in the City. You can hike down and then catch the 806 bus (I think) to Mondello beach and then the...More

On our way in from the airport, we stopped to see the lovely view of the mountain and the sea, with a small town nestled below.

Great views, but if you're getting public transport then be prepared to wait on the side of the road for up to an hour and a half like we did. Bus timetables are totally unreliable, and there's no way of knowing if the bus you're...More

We took a bus up to the top. The views while on the bus were fantastically beautiful! It would have been nice if the bus stopped for us to get off and take pictures. Also, when we got to the top the view was disappointing....More

Hi Cris, the best place is from via Martin Luther King (see the map). From there an old road (XVII century) until the Sanctuary of Saint Rosalia. Good trek.

It's pretty far, there is a bus driving to the church on top which is a scenic view, too. Use the website Rom2Rio dot c o m to get bus times and stops.
