It's only a few rooms, but still interesting. We were the only people in there! If you're interested in archeology or interested in traditional dress, pay a visit, get out of the sun for an hour, it's open all day. Perhaps of more people visited...More

Good showpiece of Sardagena history from stone age till Roman period. Good choice of findings and coins but lacking english info :-(

It was (surprisingly) open all day - most establishments in Sassari close from 1-5 in the afternoon. Excellent collection of historical items, many dating back thousands of years. We loved the Sardinian costume section. Only 3 Euros per adult to enter. Lots of signage -...More

If you love archeology, this is the place to visit. Many artefacts from Neolithic to Roman times. The other museum to rival this is in Perfugas which also boasts a sacred well and a XVII century retablo. Highly recommended.

We walked through a deserted Sassari thinking there is no chance this is open and sure enough it was and possibly the only thing that is open in Sassari on a Sunday. A very good place to visit covering all periods, lots of good exhibits...More
