Recommended for tranquility without too many pretensions...
It can be reached by walking for about 5/7 minutes walk from the parking lot where it is allowed to stop, otherwise you risk a fine. Very nice beach, wide (so we were not crowded at all), with mustard/black sand (beautiful), a little full of logs and wood, but in a free beach there is... Shallow water for a long time, so also suitable for children. Also open to dogs. Small secluded niche even for nudists. Small area with sunbeds and umbrellas (but I did not understand if you have to book them or if they are free do everything directly there, also because they are very few. Small bar where you can eat toast, sandwiches or a focaccia (which I highly recommend, both for goodness and for the price), or local grill.

    comfortable and beautiful
large and free parking although there is a few meters from afre to go to the less popular area. on the beach is a grill and a bar where you can have an aperitif or snack, access also for people with reduced mobility, equipped area sun loungers / umbrellas, surf school and sup etc .. present dog area, the free zone is very large, very pleasant golden sand. panorama with watchtowers and dunes, in the water many fish especially in the most rocky area.

    Beautiful day
Beautiful little-frequented beach with crystal clear waters, surrounded by spectacular Mediterranean scrub .... but only in the Final part away from the kiosk. Too bad that early afternoon the mistral got up otherwise it would have been perfect day

    Wonderful beach and beautiful sea
It is a very wide and long beach you can reach from 2 different parking lots and then you have to walk through the pine forest, but it is all worth it. Immediately where you get there is more crowded but walking to the right you will find fewer and fewer people until you get to the naturist area. The sea here is really wonderful and we spent a fantastic day.

    Wonderful place
Beautiful free beach and incontaminata. In proximity to the bay there is a grill pizzeria on which it is worth stopping run by the talented Luca and his very kind companion who serves delicious dishes. The prices are perfectly in line even quite low when compared to the quality of the food served. Thank you for your hospitality.

Stopped here after a day out to Bosa (gorgeous colourful town 1h40 south well worth a visit) and arrived about 4.30 and it was still busy but the beach is so big there was plenty of space. Parking is free at the top (an easy 10 min walk down) or there is parking right next to the beach which we didn’t realise but imagine that gets full early on.
Very nice golden sand, quite a lot of driftwood but beautiful and the sea is quite rough. Great for surfers but not as good for swimming as the currents are strong.
When it’s windy the sand blows over you a lot we ended up covered so take a brolly or windbreak I’d you have one!

One of my favourite sandy beaches near Alghero. Pristine water, relaxing, perfect for couples. Surrounded by breathtaking dunes and mountains. However - BE CAREFUL DRIVERS - do not leave your car at the nearest (unofficial) car park! We got 90€ ticket 😩

Had a fab time sitting in the little beach side cafe just watching the surfers, then a lovely walk along the beach. Very relaxing and secluded out of the way spot. The cafe serves great simple but delicious food.

I had visited this beach 5 years ago and I had kept a beautiful memory, but today after years I decide to go and unfortunately it was the only beach where I did not swim. When you recommend going with children specify that there is a surf school on the beach so this means that the sea is often rough. It is a windy area suitable for surfers but the sea in my opinion is dangerous for children. The seabed has very soft sand that sinks with your feet initially on the shore and does not have a precise height (this is also indicated by the signs on the beach) so a step is low and a step you find yourself half a meter high and if there are waves and you are not an Expert swimmer in the water do not enter. So suitable for children let's talk about it. Positive note that despite being a beach (in the wild ) there is a nice kiosk. All young guys and also make evenings wanting to stay for aperitif there is music. Another positive note is the walk to the tower where there is a beach for naturalists. Definitely more beautiful but you have to take off your costume to go there 😬 last positive note there is the rescue service. Given the surf and wave situation it was almost mandatory 🫶🏻☀️ happy holidays to all!!

This is a wonderful location and we have been here many times. Unfortunately we have never found the staff friendly nor particularly accommodating. This goes for all of the facilities, including the bar and the Griglieria, where the food is expensive considering it is mostly frozen.
Granted this is a conservation area with a big need to protect a wonderful place but common courtesy and kindness goes a long way to making people also behave respectfully, return and recommend the place to other people. It feels as though this is not what people want- they have been very rude and unfriendly - almost as if visitors were imposing themselves on their ‘corner of paradise’. What a pity we do not feel we want to return this year after one more negative and costly experience!

Beach without any interest. There is much better in Sardinia and above all it is invaded by wasps! I had already read this comment, and well I think it's the same every day. There are even hornets, it's dangerous for young and old alike.
The water is not clear, so move on.
On the other hand, 5 km away, there is Torre Porticciolo beach which is very cute, pretty, clean, easy to access.

It's probably just a period.... But second half of August 2023 a nightmare. Invasion of wasps and poseidonia…. Luckily the parking is free and we were able to leave after 1 hour!
However, without wasps and poseidonia, it is truly a gem where you can stay in peace and escape the triple chaotic beaches closest to Alghero.
Try to go anyway, maybe you'll be luckier!

I live in Sardinia and I always love to get back to this beautiful beach. It offers a variety of options: either lay on the sandy beach, stroll along, or find a cosy sunbathing spot at the end of the bay, between the rocks at the feet of the ancient watch tower. If you are sportive, try to climb up the tower, or sit down on the plateau beneath it, relax and just enjoy the surrounding- the view is spectacular! Behind the dunes, not too far, you can hike to the LAGO BARRATZ, a tranquil place in the middle of nature, with wild flora and fauna.

If you're looking for a less crowded place to relax, maybe naked, and for a "hippie" vibe, this is the place for you. Great for surfers, dog lovers and open-minded people.

I love in this area for 3 years and I went to this place for the first time last week. Since then I went back twice. I went to enjoy the amazing sunset, the best ever!!! You can seat on the rocks by the beach and look at it or seat in the nice bar and enjoy it in front of a nice cold beer. People around there are really nice, hippy stile, surfers, dog friendly beach and people.
If it’s windy it’s the ideal place for surf 🏄‍♀️ but because I am not a surfer and I have kids I spent the day at the nearest beach called Mugoni and then went there for the sunset.
