Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a wonderful location and we have been here many times. Unfortunately we have never found the staff friendly nor particularly accommodating. This goes for all of the facilities, including the bar and the Griglieria, where the food is expensive considering it is mostly frozen.
Granted this is a conservation area with a big need to protect a wonderful place but common courtesy and kindness goes a long way to making people also behave respectfully, return and recommend the place to other people. It feels as though this is not what people want- they have been very rude and unfriendly - almost as if visitors were imposing themselves on their ‘corner of paradise’. What a pity we do not feel we want to return this year after one more negative and costly experience!

A lovely beach, not busy as its not on a bus route. There is parking very close to the beach. Very clear water and a lovely view. It's worth the drive, definitely come again.

I don't like beaches, not to lie on them anyway, but this one is a very pretty one and one of the few we saw on this island that wasn't crowded (which might change after this review, o damn, forget it)

One of my favourite sandy beaches near Alghero. Pristine water, relaxing, perfect for couples. Surrounded by breathtaking dunes and mountains. However - BE CAREFUL DRIVERS - do not leave your car at the nearest (unofficial) car park! We got 90€ ticket 😩

Stopped here after a day out to Bosa (gorgeous colourful town 1h40 south well worth a visit) and arrived about 4.30 and it was still busy but the beach is so big there was plenty of space. Parking is free at the top (an easy 10 min walk down) or there is parking right next to the beach which we didn’t realise but imagine that gets full early on.
Very nice golden sand, quite a lot of driftwood but beautiful and the sea is quite rough. Great for surfers but not as good for swimming as the currents are strong.
When it’s windy the sand blows over you a lot we ended up covered so take a brolly or windbreak I’d you have one!

This beach is so large that it cannot be crowded.
If you walk the way to the tower at the end, you will find a private spot.
Windy with nice waves for body surfing and shallow waters were you can walk for 100 meters and still feel the sand.
Gold coloured sandy beach, was one of our favorites and we went twice

The beach is quite long. Small part of the beach is equipped with chairs and umbrellas. Surfing school is also there.
The area is quite rural and the beach is not crowded. If you walk till the end of the beach there is a naturist beach separated from the main area with rocks.

I visited Porto Ferro after 20 years today....I am happy to report much has not changed. The beach is eclectic, dog friendly, and it has just enough accommodations to feel like you are still in wild Sardegna...I also went to La Pelosa today...the beauty of the beach is unparalleled but the pure amount of human consumption is truly sad.

If you're looking for a less crowded place to relax, maybe naked, and for a "hippie" vibe, this is the place for you. Great for surfers, dog lovers and open-minded people.

I love in this area for 3 years and I went to this place for the first time last week. Since then I went back twice. I went to enjoy the amazing sunset, the best ever!!! You can seat on the rocks by the beach and look at it or seat in the nice bar and enjoy it in front of a nice cold beer. People around there are really nice, hippy stile, surfers, dog friendly beach and people.
If it’s windy it’s the ideal place for surf 🏄‍♀️ but because I am not a surfer and I have kids I spent the day at the nearest beach called Mugoni and then went there for the sunset.
