gorgeous beach

I don't like beaches, not to lie on them anyway, but this one is a very pretty one and one of the few we saw on this island that wasn't crowded (which might change after this review, o damn, forget it)

Wonderfully peaceful and wild!

One of my favourite sandy beaches near Alghero. Pristine water, relaxing, perfect for couples. Surrounded by breathtaking dunes and mountains. However - BE CAREFUL DRIVERS - do not leave your car at the nearest (unofficial) car park! We got 90€ ticket 😩

Great beach
Aug 2020 • Couples
Stopped here after a day out to Bosa (gorgeous colourful town 1h40 south well worth a visit) and arrived about 4.30 and it was still busy but the beach is so big there was plenty of space. Parking is free at the top (an easy 10 min walk down) or there is parking right next to the beach which we didn’t realise but imagine that gets full early on.
Very nice golden sand, quite a lot of driftwood but beautiful and the sea is quite rough. Great for surfers but not as good for swimming as the currents are strong.
When it’s windy the sand blows over you a lot we ended up covered so take a brolly or windbreak I’d you have one!

Large spacious sandy beach
Aug 2019 • Family
This beach is so large that it cannot be crowded.
If you walk the way to the tower at the end, you will find a private spot.
Windy with nice waves for body surfing and shallow waters were you can walk for 100 meters and still feel the sand.
Gold coloured sandy beach, was one of our favorites and we went twice

Nice and calm beach suitable for everyone
Aug 2019 • Family
The beach is quite long. Small part of the beach is equipped with chairs and umbrellas. Surfing school is also there.
The area is quite rural and the beach is not crowded. If you walk till the end of the beach there is a naturist beach separated from the main area with rocks.

After 20 years...
Jul 2019 • Couples
I visited Porto Ferro after 20 years today....I am happy to report much has not changed. The beach is eclectic, dog friendly, and it has just enough accommodations to feel like you are still in wild Sardegna...I also went to La Pelosa today...the beauty of the beach is unparalleled but the pure amount of human consumption is truly sad.

The beach with the best vibe
Aug 2018 • Friends
If you're looking for a less crowded place to relax, maybe naked, and for a "hippie" vibe, this is the place for you. Great for surfers, dog lovers and open-minded people.

Best sunset
Sep 2018 • Family
I love in this area for 3 years and I went to this place for the first time last week. Since then I went back twice. I went to enjoy the amazing sunset, the best ever!!! You can seat on the rocks by the beach and look at it or seat in the nice bar and enjoy it in front of a nice cold beer. People around there are really nice, hippy stile, surfers, dog friendly beach and people.
If it’s windy it’s the ideal place for surf 🏄‍♀️ but because I am not a surfer and I have kids I spent the day at the nearest beach called Mugoni and then went there for the sunset.

Very nice beach, worth to visit it
Sep 2018
We spent a Sunday afternoon there. Its easy to find and there are a lot of parking possibilities. The beach has a small restaurant with food, coffee and drinks. At this time of the year almost no people there. Its a well known spot for surfers.
You can take nice walks to the towers at the beach.
As Mistral winds were blowing the sea was a bit dangerous as the current of the breaking waves can take you off your feet. The people from the bay watch were continuously blowing the whistle for people going to far outside, so take that serious!

Beautiful!
Aug 2018 • Couples
Beautiful beach! Kind of wild and basic but great. Shallow sea and crystal clear water. Few sun loungers with umbrellas are available at the beginning where the beach bar is. The rest is wild and not busy at all! Plenty of space. Suggest walking further towards the end if you fancy wild. Nudism is allowed at the far end. It’s a windy beach which means it feels cooler but you burn quicker ;-)
The beach bar has lovely staff and they do amazing frozen coffee and cold local draft beer. Free shower if you use sun loungers. Our favourite beach in north west Sardinia so far.
