I have to say that the famous pink beach was nothing special and looked like every other beach in the area, except for the lack of people as the beach is closed and it's not allowed to visit...

Isola Rossa is pretty little village, with a couple of lovely sandy beaches that are ideal for sun worshippers and children but if you're looking to explore Sardinia from there don't go at the end of September! It's end of season! No trips, no car...More

I enjoyed it a lot, it was slighly touristic, but mostly among Italians, no mass tourism yet. Many nice restaurants and several nice beaches around.

Small fishing village with a harbour, Some restaurants and a couple of shops. Things close on a Sunday (which is unheard of in the UK) and there is a lovely feel about the place. Nice beach and some old towers from a time long gone....More

I loved it here. The red ((Rosso) granite rocks that predominate the area are beautiful, with crystal clear water in coves that you can discover, explore and swim. There is not much in the way of commercial entertainment but this made it so much better....More
