The park is right in the city, between Cagliari and Quartu Sant'Elena. It's perfect to be visited by bike. You can rent bikes at the information center (address: Cagliari, via La Palma). There are many itineraries inside. The park is a good place even for...More

The ideal way of visiting this is by bicycle, although there are buses from the centre and then you can walk around the reserve. We spent a wonderful morning watching flamingos, herons, stilts etc. Then exited about half way down the Poetto beach for a...More

I walked over from the city. Mostly good trails, but at the end I got stuck between roads, channels and inaccessable terrain. But if you can work out the logistics ... off you go.

I walked here from the city, although buses are available. The ticket office staff were helpful (it is free entrance) and on a riany day there were not mmany flamingoes to be seen. But a lovely walk, and I included a trip to the beach.

We visited the park today late morning. We found the main entrance relatively easily with the sat nav. Once there we were welcomed by a nice lady who explained the routes available and sorted us out with bikes. The bikes had seen better days and...More

This is the place to get out of town, where locals bike and run and walk. The flamingos are an added attraction (especially if they are close), but it's the air and space that are the draw here.
