It’s located in the Old Town in the district Stampace, near Piazza Yenne. We found it easily. It was built in 18th century (during 30 years) in Baroque style. It’s an impressive building at the top of many stairs. We climbed up and visited it. It has a plain white interior, it isn’t very decorated but I like it. It has marble altars, colourful glasswindows, frescos and statues. I think it’s worth a visit but check the opening hours before.

We found this church on walk up the hills towards the roman sights and it's an impressive building with good photo opportunity on the steps leading up to the entrance.

Sadly the doors were closed so didn't get to have a look inside.

This church is very close to the Criptas of Sant'Efisio and of Santa Restituta. It took a long time to build it and it boasts an unusual story.

We found the church of Saint Anna in Cagliari whilst our ship was docked in the port on a sunny Sunday in June. Never having been to the city before, we had opted to explore on foot and had prepared our own agenda with points of interest to visit. We had picked up a tourist map in the harbour for two euros, which was reasonably helpful in terms of landmarks and we used both this and our phones to navigate us around.
We found the church whilst heading towards the ‘Piazza Jenne’ its clean white exterior reflecting the bright early afternoon Sardinian sunshine. Inside the decoration is not as intricate as other churches and its white columns and pastel yellow shades all lit by hanging electric chandeliers gives it a very calming and reflective atmosphere. The shiny marble floor reflected back the ceiling and arches. The church is not large, comprising a nave with side chapels on either side, and a high ceiling with a dome letting in daylight over the crossing. There looked like signs of water ingress in the ceiling over the entrance.
It is our custom to light a candle when in a religious house in exchange for a small donation. This facility was available here but we had lit one earlier in the day at the cathedral.
We noticed that there was a group of people congregating outside of the church, up until then it had been almost empty, and we think that a christening service may have been due to start, and so having enjoyed walking around we respectfully left the church.
Certainly worth looking in if you are in the area for a visit, the interior gives a welcome respite from the bright sunshine and also allows for a period of reflection during the day.

This church has a very imposing limestone block exterior and it is quite large too. Inside it is really quite plain but vast. The walls and columns are painted a yellow white colour and overall there is a “ minimalist” feel about the place. The roofs are bare too.

This church is a magnificent example of Italian beauty. It is a must see gem of Cagliari. You will have to walk up a lot of steps to get to the door but, you will be rewarded with tour of a very nice church. The main church is gorgeous and the side altars have some wonderful statues and bright shinny adornments. You will not be disappointed.
